#UnveilANewFace, that’s the official hashtag of the Takashimaya 25th Anniversary celebration that happened over 2 days on the 21/8 and 22/8 last week.
Indeed, true to the name, Takashimaya officially unveiled a brand new look of their beauty hall after it underwent a “face lift” section by section over the past few months.
If you have been to Takashimaya lately, you’d probably realised some of your favourite beauty brands and their counters have shifted, and you’d probably also discovered several brand new beauty brands setting up counters within the level 1 beauty hall as well.
All I can say is, I love the newly revamped space in terms of layout, setup, number of brands and even the lighting as well. It seems a whole lot brighter and in turn, makes it a lot grander. Even perfume shopping is a lot easier too as they have their own cosy corner right at the back. You’d be delighted with the sheer display of perfume bottles and their testers.
I attended the 1st day event as an invited blogger and I wanted to share the going of the events through the official photos taken by their official photographer. (I only snapped most of it for my IG story so I am unable to use them here, so full credits to the event photographer and Alexander PR Group).

On the event day, we were all dazzled with live makeup demonstration by local makeup maestro, Ginger Lynette, and Seh-Young, K-beauty brand Hera’s top makeup artist who flew in specially for this event. Both of the makeup artists presented looks on the models using top favorites, best-sellers, and several new releases from the brand.
At Fresh, Ginger showed us how to “Binge Mask” with the Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Mask to prep the skin first before enhancing the effects with the Rose Face Mask. As an option, we were recommended to apply the Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask to seal the goodness of the prior masks in while allowing the overnight mask to nourish and treat the skin as one sleeps.
While Ginger explained the goodness and wonders of Binge Masking, Fresh’s in-house trainer, Will, showed the crowd the best way to apply the masks.
On our last stop of the day, Albion’s trainer Eunice and Ginger introduced the brand to the attendees and wowed everyone with the track record sales of 3 million bottles of their signature Skin Conditioner in a year. Ginger then presented the full extension mascara and face powder and shared tips and tricks to using them.
Alongside the live demonstrations happening at respective beauty counters, there were also fringe activities taking place where everyone is invited to partake!

Of course, what’s a celebration without food and refreshments right?
Throughout the event, light snacks, finger food and pastries from Ma Maison and Butter Studio were served while beverages from Perrier and Orangina kept us hydrated. Butter Studio also baked us a beautiful 3-tier cake for the event too.
We all had such a great time at the event especially with friends together!
