(Psst...i don't know if it's me, or the sheet mask, but it doesn't fit nicely on me! :( )

Okay, with that out-of-the-way, let’s take a look at the featured ingredients, not the full ingredient recipe because, again, the printings are all in Hangul and i couldn’t find anything on google neither so bear with me 🙂

  • Amino Acid Complex with Aspartic Acid

Unfortunately, without the English name of the exact amino acids (there are at least 20 different amino acids out there including Aspartic Acid) in the Amino Acid Complex, i really cannot elaborate on that. Just note that typically when used in skin care products, it offers antioxidant, hydration and accelerating wound healing.

However, we can talk about Aspartic Acid. Aspartic Acid is an amino acid used to enhance skin’s smoothness (Source: Michalun, M. and Dinardo, J. Milady skin care and cosmetic ingredients dictionary.)

  • Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA)

AHA is used in many anti-aging and anti-acne skin care products due to its ability to exfoliate and increase skin turnover, hence revealing a younger looking complexion and texture. AHA can also be used to achieve whitening, ridding acne scars and unclog pores (source).

  • Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA)

BHA is generally used to exfoliates skin, reduce skin redness, encourage collage production, reducing and getting rid of blackheads, whiteheads and sebum controlling (source).

  • Snail Secretion Filtrate

Snail slime (mucus to be yucky) contains plenty of skin beneficial vitamins and minerals such as Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, Glycoprotein enzymes, Anti-microbial elements, Copper Peptide and Proteoglycans. It’s cosmeceutical benefits include anti-aging, improves elasticity, wound healing, redness reducing, moisturizing, brightening, skin calming and possibly more (source 1, source 2)

Now let’s look at my roaring view for [Leaders Mediu Amino AC-Free Mask] :

Product’s packaging : Red colored tear-open mask pack
Product’s texture : Cottony material; soaked full of essence with plenty remaining in the pack
Product’s scent : Sweet and relaxing scent. Really sweet.
Price point : SGD$4
Available via online retailers (Amazon, eBay, Qoo10 SG, Roseroseshop)
Try-out period : 1 week (2 times)
Personal take : First thing i noticed after opening the mask pack is its delicate sweet scent, very nice! However, when i tried putting it on my face, it just doesn’t fit! As you can see in the image embedded above, there are several areas where it just look like there are air bubbles below. 😦

Effectiveness wise; first thing when you remove the mask after 20 mins, your face is REALLY wet! So what i did was to massage my face in slow circular motion, pat and then tissue off the rest. I then apply my night moisturizer and acne spot treatment. The next morning, you can really see that the redness of the acne i had on my forehead had reduced significantly. The size of the bump had also reduce a little. With that amazing feeling swirling, i put two and two together and decided to do a double-masking treatment – pairing the Mamonde Lotus Micro Mud Mask (Mud/Clay + Detox) and this Leaders Mediu Amino AC-Free Mask (Calming + AC treatment). In that instance, I felt like a wicked witch just discovering a long-lost spell, except it’s really a potential acne-buster! Woohoo~

If you want to know if this potential acne-buster works, i think the embedded image above shows 🙂 What do you think?

Will i recommend it? : Yes, i definitely recommend this, although i have an issue with the fitting of this mask on my face. Nonetheless, I will still have to trouble my friends to lug a few boxes back for me when they visit Seoul heehee 😛
