The next review i am going to share with you guys is of a product from a brand that has established itself in the vegan/natural market overseas for a long while now yet isn’t available for purchase in Singapore. That is until now.
The product i will be talking about here is the Hawaiian Facial Scrub from Alba Botanica. Let’s see!
Very good! The brand is against animal testing and adheres to a strict cruelty-free standard under the Leaping Bunny Program.
And here’s the blurb of the scrub i purchased:
Sounds good eh? Let’s take a look at my review now:
Roaring view for [Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Scrub]:
|Product’s packaging||:||Shorter than normal squeeze tube with a green plastic flip-open cap|
|Product’s texture||:||Gel with a yellowish tinge with irregular, soft, white granules|
|Product’s scent||:||A tropical medley of pineapple, mango and orange|
|Price point||:||below SGD$20|
|Watsons SG stores islandwide|
|Try-out period||:||aprox. 2 weeks (two times a week)|
|Personal take||:||I urge you to just pick up a tester and smell it. Just smell it. Smell it first.
Okay, just kidding. If you can’t find a tester to smell it, let me just briefly describe the smell of this Hawaiian Facial Scrub to you. The smell reminded me of a summer holiday on a sandy beach. It also reminded me of a delicious puree of pineapple, mango and orange in a jar. No joke! This facial scrub smells THAT delicious!
Smell isn’t the only good (or bad if you don’t like the sort of smell) thing about the scrub because the effectiveness of this scrub can be felt as well. Why? Because when i was using this, as i am massaging this on my face, i can feel the water activating the fruit enzymes and the scrub instantly became warm to the touch. The warming sensation reminded me of an at-home chemical peel. Hence, if you have a very sensitive skin, do use with caution.
So after massaging and rinsing it all away, i can see that the skin’s texture is a lot smoother and shinier?
This Hawaiian Facial Scrub is unlike any other scrubs that has gritty scrub particles to provide exfoliation. It has enzymes derived from fruits to aid in exfoliation and the addition of super-soft buffing particles (those white white stuff) provided the extra physical exfoliating effect.
Go and get one to try it soon!
|Will i recommend it?||:||Yes, i enjoyed using it and always looked forward to using it weekly!|
To this, Buddy says:
PS. This Hawaiian Facial Scrub is part of the ’10 Products I’m Testing Out Now’ (see the post here). The reviews for the other 6 should be rolling out soon-ish 🙂 Stay tuned!
