Some time ago, i was approached by the kind folks at The Face Inc to try out their new online consultation algorithm, Dr. Rei, as well as the various recommended skin care products after the said consultation. Of course i jumped at the chance because my skin has never been clear nor healthy for the longest period of time since i started my undergrad study.

I gamely got on to their website and after a few clicks, i was guided to Dr. Rei and began my consultation. The said consultation wasn’t awkward at all because unlike the traditional sense of consultation, there weren’t any video conference nor skype nor anything of the sorts involved. Instead, you are presented with a questionnaire that asks several questions pertaining to your gender, lifestyle habits, skin type as well as primary and secondary skin concerns.

After say, 3 mins, you will be presented with a prescription number and together with it, a customized skin care regime that is tailored to what your skin needs and recommended to get your skin to the best state. After which, all you need to do is to click the checkout button and await the specially crafted parcel to arrive at your doorstep.

Okay, without further ado, let’s check out my experience with the brand and the products. But be forewarned, for it’s heavily laden with images with one that has my angry red spots staring back at ya! 😛

Try-out period	:	6 weeks; both day and night
Personal take	:	I absolutely love the results i have achieved from using the recommended products from The Face Inc. Not only were the products gentle and calming, they were equally effective and true to its claim. Unlike regular products with retinol and AHA/BHA, the ones from the brand never gave me any dryness nor flakiness, nor made my already sensitive skin even more so. In terms of personal favourites, i especially like the calming cleansing gel and the fast-absorbing acne treatment. The product that i like the least has to be the tinted sunblock. Don’t get me wrong. The sunblock works beautifully on its own, but when used under a base makeup i.e. BB cream, it balls up and looks patchy. No matter how i mix, blend or use different brands of BB cream, it always ends up the same.
Will i recommend it?	:	Yes, absolutely! The products are mild, gentle and effective. Each product can and should last you for about 6-8 weeks. However, i cannot recommend the tinted sunscreen because it just did not work for me
