I first received the bottle of Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream in 100g when I attended the brand’s event – The Big Reveal: Fantastical Halloween X Christmas Blogger Party, some time last month. Along with this elfy-green shower cream, I also received the Salt & Peppermint Bark shower scrub bar, the Santa’s Lip Scrub, and the First Snow Dusting Powder. I will be posting reviews of the other Lush goodies in time to come, but today, I would like to talk about my experience with this shimmery elfy-green shower cream!

As usual, a little something something from the brand:

According to the brand, Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream is/has:
- Intriguing sweetness and senses with the earthy herbal blend and fair trade Vanilla absolute
- Nourish and hydrate the skin with organic Wheatgerm oil and Vitamin E
- Safe for vegan
Below is my experience with this shimmery, elfy-green shower cream:

Try-out period | : | 3 times |
Personal take | : | Okay, I will be brutally honest here – I don’t like it. I didn’t enjoyed it and the formula didn’t worked for my sensitive skin. Why do i say that? Well, it dries up my skin! Yes, this shower cream does lather up very easily, but when the soapsuds are rinsed off, my skin felt really dry to the touch! Like when you rub the skin of both inner forearms together, it does not feel smooth nor glides as easily as when I am using other shower products. I bet it must be that Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) and perfume.
So no, because of that reason and only that reason, I cannot recommend this shower cream. But thankfully, Lush Singapore provides sampling services so you can ask for a small sample tub and try it at home before deciding if you want to purchase it later. |
Will i recommend it? | : | No, because it made my skin a tad too dry |
