In the months following the release of the Kung Fu Panda film in Seoul, its popularity prompted CJ Olive Young to collaborate with DreamWorks to produce a series of themed products around the titular character, Po, from the show. In its first phase, two products were introduced – the black hydrogel mask and a whitening wash-off pack. In the subsequent phase, two more products were introduced – an eye mask and a warming eye patch. I did not purchase all four products, but only the black hydrogel mask. And today, I am going to share with you guys a little more about this mask, this (long-as-a-ruler name) I’m The Amazing Kung Fu Panda Black Hydrogel Mask.

Try-out period | : | Once, for 20 mins |
Personal take | : | At 3,000₩, I purchased this mask mainly because of Po, the Kung fu fighting “Dragon Warrior” Po. Many of you who have shopped for hydrogel masks know that most of them cost slightly more than just 3,000₩. And at that price, I did not expect this Kung Fu Panda hydrogel mask to perform any miracle, especially when I am only trying it just one time.
Did it really clean out my pores with the lava clay? Hardly. Did it help fight against the wrinkles and improved the elasticity? No, and yes. Did it help calm and soothe the skin with the Bamboo extract and other botanical extracts? Definitely! While this mask did make my skin a lot calmer, supple and hydrated, a regular cotton/paper mask can do the same too at a fraction of its price. This Kung Fu Panda hydrogel mask is cute and definitely instagrammable — which is what I did here, but if you are doing it at home, who is going to be looking at the cute Po on the mask other than you? I say, get it when Olive Young is having their massive sale and this mask goes for 50% off. Otherwise, get it only if you really like Po, the Kung Fu fighting “Dragon Warrior”. |
Will i recommend it? | : | No. I probably wouldn’t repurchase it for I know there are even better performing ones out there (i.e. Faith in Face, Dr. Jart+, Innisfree) that costs about the same. However, if you adore Po, then this is a sweet purchase because there aren’t any other Po masks out there in the market! Not that I know of anyway. |

That packaging is irresistible, though! And, it looks like a great fit!
