Personal take | : | Originally, I was roped in to test the PurpleTale Long Story Short All-in-one Cream since it was designed specially for men, but Team PurpleTale were very nice and added in their best-selling hero product, Plot Twist Restorative Cream, in for me to try to really experience the PurpleTale’s……tale (*sniggle)
Let’s talk about the All-in-one cream first. The All-in-one cream is probably my personal favorite simply because of its lightweight texture which absorbs in seconds! Although it contains alcohol, I find that it actually works to the benefit for men who, like me, have got a combination/oily skin type. While it did not over-dry my skin, it did not control my oil either. I also like that this cream absorbs (dries) into a matte but moist enough finish that allows my base product (BB cushion) to go on nicely. Since I have only used the cream for one month, I can only attest to its hydrating and restorative claims but not the anti-ageing effects. For the Plot Twist Restorative Cream, I think instead of naming it “cream”, we should just call it “pudding”. Because plot twist, the restorative cream is infact a pudding and it smells exactly like one! I seriously think that pudding is a more appropriate name for it because the texture is incredibly pudding-like! From the wobbly wobbly texture to how it bounce back to its original state after mere seconds, I can see why this Plot Twist Restorative Cream is a hero product from the brand. The cream is hydrating and super pampering for the skin — my skin at least. Within a few nights of applying, I find that my skin is less red and tired, and within a week’s usage, my skin look smoother and feels softer. Now coming to the end of the fourth week, my skin remained well hydrated, supple and even the wrinkles on my forehead seems to have reduced by about…say….30%? Well, no scientific measurement here but looking at the wrinkles, it seems a little less deep, so that’s good no? In conclusion, the Long Story Short All-in-one Cream is especially good if you have an oilier skin type or looking for an all in one type of product to fit into your busy schedule. However, those who are allergic to alcohol may want to skip this. As for the Plot Twist Restorative Cream, I highly recommend it! Even for my oilier skin type, it did not break me out (no, products usually don’t break me out, stress do!) yet moisturizes it sufficiently. This restorative cream is good, but because of its texture and consistency, you will find that you need to massage it a little more to break down the pudding curds.

Will i recommend it? | : | Yes, especially the Plot Twist Restorative Cream! |
