Review: Tonymoly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk

Hello all!

I am still in the midst of editing the images for the fifth product out of the 5 products review line-up i wanted to do earlier.

To recap, i have been testing and trying out 5 products for a while now and i wanted to post my reviews about them on my blog. So far, i have already posted reviews for 4 of the products in my earlier posts and i should be posting the fifth product review in a couple of days time. If you’d like to view the 4 products review which i have posted earlier, you may check them out below:

  1. COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser (here)
  2. COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner (here)
  3. D’RAN Wonder Tea Tree Oil (here)

Anyway, i thought i could share a review about the Magic Food Banana Hand Milk from Tonymoly that i’ve gotten and used recently. Check it out!

Tell me, who wouldn’t be excited and happy to an actual banana hand lotion IN A REALISTIC BANANA-SHAPED CONTAINER? 😛

Even little Rex here loves it too!

Roaring view for [Tonymoly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk]:

Product’s packaging : Quirky, life-like shape of a banana with a small opening to squeeze and dispense out the hand milk
Product’s texture : Off-white lotion-y feel
Product’s scent : The banana flavor essence Grandma uses in her banana cake
Price point :  ₩5,900 (purchased it from the TM stores in Seoul)
BeautynetKorea, Tonymoly e-store, Amazon, Roseroseshop, eBay, Qoo10 SG
Try-out period : 1 week (applied a few times within a day)
Personal take : Honestly, i only purchased this hand milk because of its cute packaging. I thought i could use the hand milk if it smells delicate but i was wrong. The banana smell was pretty overpowering when you first dispense it out. Although the scent DOES NOT stay on and dissipates within the next 3 to 5 mins, the lingering scent it left is somewhat plasticky.

Even though it says that it is a hand “milk”, i think it is more like mashed banana. When you first squeeze it out, it appears to be smooth and lotion-y, but when you try to spread it, you’d realize it is almost crumbly and curdy. Having said that, the hand milk gets absorb effortlessly.

Effectiveness wise, this hand milk is not the most hydrating hand lotion out there. In fact, if you need a slightly thicker hand lotion, this is not it. I had to reapply a few times within a day to keep my hand moist. But it was fun to see the person next to me (or opposite me) eyeing at my the banana as i try to reapply to hand milk. Cheap thrill! 🙂

Will i recommend it? : No, it is the least hydrating hand milk out there but get it anyway if there is a sale. If not for the cute container, it makes for a good conversation starter!

To this, Buddy says:

I will continue to work on the image editing for the fifth product and you can expect the review to be posted soon! 🙂

Thank you for waiting and reading my blog! 🙂
