Hello everyone! I am back with the review of the fourth product (out of 5) that i have been testing and using for a (long) while now. I have kept to using these 4 products during the period where i had some nasty pimples all over my face. If you’ve the first three products review, you may take a look here:
- COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser (here)
- COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner (here)
- D’RAN Wonder Tea Tree Oil (here)
So far, we have covered a cleansing foam, a toner and a treatment/repairing facial oil. Today, i will be talking about the next skin care product in the line-up: Pure & Natural Nourishing Night Cream by RosehipPLUS™. Let’s take a look!
Here’s the backstory of the brand:

Okay, so what exactly is a Rosehip Oil?

Okay, sounds good so far. Tell me again, what is Rosehip Oil typically good for and what are its uses?

Oooohhh…impressive! But why should i pay more for a cold pressed oil and not a regular one? And, how are they ‘cold pressed’ and extracted differently?

Okay okay. I am kinda sold. I don’t suppose you have some scientific evidences to show me eh? Wait, of course you have!

And here is the official blurb for the Nourishing night cream that i am reviewing:

So you see, cold pressed Rosehip Oil, as an ingredient, has heaps of benefits that are excellent for me to use during the course of my pimples breakout and to speed heal it.
Since i was using the D’RAN Wonder Tea Tree Oil at the time, i decided not to purchase the brand’s Organic Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil (which is equally highly raved about by beauty bloggers by way) but its Nourishing Night Cream instead.

At this point, i think i need to highlight these couple of points:
- The products are certified organic
- Products are cruelty-free (no animal testing!)
- No bad nasties added to its ingredient recipe (no parabens, sulphates, artificial colors, petro chemicals etc.)
- Ingredient recipe for this Nourishing night cream is 95% organic
Speaking of the ingredient recipe, it is definitely worth taking a look:
Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Olive (Olea europaea) Leaf Extract*, Glycerin*, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) Seed Butter*, Rosehip (Rosa Canina) Seed Oil*, Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Oil*, Macadamia integrifolia Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Shea (Butyrospermum parkii) Butter*, Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) Seed Oil*, Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) Flower Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Oil*, Xanthan Gum, Citronellol, Geraniol. *Certified organic ingredients
As this contains Geranium Oil, Citronellol and Geraniol, people with known irritations to essential oil should do a patch test prior to using this night cream.
Alright! Now let’s take a look at my firsthand experience with this night cream:

Roaring view for [RosehipPLUS™ Nourishing Night Cream]:
Product’s packaging | : | Standard nondescript plastic bottle with a plastic cap and a pump dispenser |
Product’s texture | : | White, thicker-than-lotion texture |
Product’s scent | : | It smells of a very light floral-cum-rosehip oil scent |
Price point | : | SGD$29.90 |
Available at Guardian Pharmacy stores islandwide, RosehipPLUS™ website | ||
Try-out period | : | 8 weeks (twice a day, morning and night) |
Personal take | : | I enjoyed using this night cream. However, i only picked this because it is a cream that comes in a pump dispenser and i thought this is moisturizing enough. But if i were to be honest, my combination-dry skin soaks up all the night cream almost immediately. This is how dry my cheeks and forehead were.
Cut to after a week’s usage of this night cream, my skin appeared smoother and plumper. My skin stayed hydrated throughout the use of this night cream as a moisturizer. Now that i have used up the entire bottle, i probably will not repurchase this. Although it hydrated the skin, it did not lighten up any of the acne marks i already had on my skin. I am now actively looking around for a whitening night cream that not only helps to lighten those acne marks, but it also needs to come in a hygienic pump dispenser. I just prefer not to use creams out of a jar/tub. |
Will i recommend it? | : | Yes! It does hydrates and keep the skin smooth and calm. |
To this, Buddy says:
